We are thrilled to announce that, following a recent meeting with West Suffolk Council, planning permission has officially been approved for the extension of our existing facility here at The New Croft.
This exciting development will see a brand-new extension built off our current hall area, featuring an additional smaller hall, new bar space and toilet facilities. The new design includes dividers between the existing and new spaces, allowing us to create a larger combined area for major events or to split the venue into two separate halls and two separate bar areas.
This project represents a significant investment in our community. The expanded facility will enable us to host a wider range of health and wellbeing programmes, and it will provide additional options for private hire. Whether you’re planning a large celebration or a more intimate gathering, the new spaces will offer a variety of layouts and price points to suit different needs and budgets.
Importantly, the new extension will also enhance the experience for our current community programmes at The New Croft, including our newly formed darts teams and football clubs, who will benefit from improved and more versatile facilities.
Tracy Thomas, Facilities Operations Manager at The New Croft said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have received approval for this next phase of development. This extension will make a real difference, not only to the events we can host, but to the day-to-day experience of our regular users and community groups. It’s a big step forward for The New Croft and for the wider Haverhill community.”
We are now in the early stages of organising the construction works and will share further updates as the project progresses.
We’d like to thank West Suffolk Council for their support and look forward to welcoming even more of our community to The New Croft soon.
