The New Croft was brought to national media attention following an incident shortly before the 2017 FA Vase derby between Haverhill Borough and Haverhill Rovers. A supporter collapsed next to the pitch and required immediate medical attention. Fortunately, the Croft has been fitted with a defibrillator, and thanks to the work of Haverhill Borough’s Tommy Hardwick and the HCSA’s Lisa Shulver, the spectator’s life was saved.
