We were thrilled to welcome England football legend Stuart Pearce to The New Croft last week for our Sportsman’s Dinner – and what a fantastic evening it was!
The evening began with welcome drinks and networking, giving everyone the chance to relax, catch up, and enjoy the lively atmosphere before the night unfolded. Attendees then tried their luck at our casino tables, with classic games of roulette and blackjack adding a fun and competitive edge to the night.
Throughout the event, there were a variety of fundraising games including Heads or Tails, Pick an England Team, raffles, and an exciting live auction. These activities not only brought a great buzz to the evening but also helped us raise money in support of Haverhill Rovers FC, who recently celebrated being crowned champions of the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
The highlight of the night was, without doubt, our special guest Stuart Pearce. He captivated the audience with this talk and Q&A session, offering powerful insights into his incredible football journey – from his early playing days and his iconic England career to his roles in management and punditry.
